Forum to Discuss English Translations of Quran
It will be organized on Tuesday, August 5, by ICRO's Center for Coordinating Translation and Promotion of Islamic Sciences and Teachings.
A number of experts in the field, including Hojat-ol-Islam Naghdi, managing director of Tarjoman-e Vahy (translation of Revelation) Institute, Salar Manafi, Allameh Tabatabee University professor, and Seyed Ali Quli Qaraei, translator of the Quran into English, will be present in the forum.
It will serve as a preliminary session for an international seminar on Quran translation, slated to be held in December.
Center for Coordinating Translation and Promotion of Islamic Sciences and Teachings will organize the international scholarly event in cooperation with Allameh Tabatabaee University.
Prominent translators of the Quran from Iran and other countries are expected to take part in the seminar.
