Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, JI Amir Sirajul Haq called upon all the political and religious parties, NGOs, human rights organizations and other groups to also support their call for August 17 to give a joint message to the international community and the supporters of Israel.
He said the JI Shura had deferred the announcement of ‘Awami Agenda’ which was to be declared on Monday to focus on support to the people of Palestine. He said the JI would also take out ‘Gaza Million March’ in Karachi on August 17 as part of activities planned for ‘Yaum-e-Palestine’.
Siraj told newsmen that the JI would also stage big ‘Labaik Ya Qibla Awwal’ in the federal capital on August 10 (Sunday).The JI top said the government should lead the Muslim world and call a meeting of the heads of Islamic countries in Islamabad on the issue of Palestine and announce practical measures against the Jewish state.
He also announced that in the first phase, the Jamaat was sending Rs10 million and six ambulances worth 60,000 dollars for the people of Palestine.“We will continue our support for our brothers and sisters in Palestine,” he said.
