190,000 Individuals Register for 3rd Edition of Quran Memorization Plan

Secretary of the plan for training Quran memorizers said that so far more than 190,000 individuals have signed up to take part in the plan.

Seyyed Mohammad Kazem Mousavi added that the overall number of participants in the three editions of the plan, which is implemented by the Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization, has surpassed 700,000.
He told the Fars news agency that the registration capacity in many provinces is already being filled.
In addition to the Awqaf and Charity Organization, a number of other institutions and government bodies are involved in the development of Quran memorization in society.
They include the Education Ministry and the Quran and Etrat Deputy of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Mousavi said the Center for Training Quran Memorization Teachers has held more than 85 memorization teachers courses.
He added that some prominent Quranic figures like Shahriar Parhizgar, Mohammad Mehdi Tabatabaee and Mohammad Reza Shahidipour teach the courses.
