Sheikh Muhammad Hussein said there are printing errors in the copies, Ma'an news agency reported.
They have been published by a publications company in the Egyptian capital of Cairo with permission from al-Azhar, he stated.
Sheikh Muhammad Hussein urged the libraries, bookstores and individuals who have obtained the copies to deliver them to the Palestinian Dar-ul-Ifta.
Earlier, some other copies of the Quran approved by al-Azhar were recollected in Palestine as they contained typographical errors.
A few years ago al-Azhar proposed a new law to Egypt's parliament which urging for 15-year jail terms for printing and publishing houses found guilty of making copy mistakes in published versions of the Quran.
