Interfaith Youth Forum to Be Held in Stavropol
It will begin on August 26 in the kids recreation camp “Solnechniy” located in the village of Kazinka.
More than 60 representatives of Islamic and Orthodox will take part in the event. Young people aged 14 to 25 years will participate in thematic seminars and round tables. The program of the forum will also include a tour of the city and sport competition.
The organizing committee said that the opening ceremony will be attended by Metropolitan of Stavropol and Nevinnomyssky districts Kirill, Mufti of Stavropol Muhammad Haji Rakhimov, chairman of the SC on Nationalities and Cossacks A. Yakushev.
"This forum will help our young people to learn and to understand the spiritual values of Islam and Christianity and to gain invaluable experience of the culture of interethnic communication", said Alexander Yakushev.
