Summer Quran Memorization Course Underway in Qatar

A summer Quran memorization course has been organized for students in Qatar.

 Planned by the Quran Memorization Section of Ibad-ul-Rahman Institute, the Quranic course started on August 9. 

Al-‘Imadi Grand Mosque in Al-Thamamah region hosts the classes from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. local time.
105 Qatari children and teenagers have taken the course in three categories held for preliminary, secondary and high school students.
The 50 students taking the preliminary level category, tilted “little Hafiz (memorizer)”, will memorize one Juz’ (part) of the Holy Quran as well as the meaning of Surahs (chapters)  Zuhaa to Naas.
The students will also be taught Tajweed principles, Arabic alphabet, how to make Wudu (washing before prayer) and perform prayers.
Quranic concepts and virtues of daily Dhikrs (a devotional act in which short phrases or prayers are repeatedly recited for the purpose of glorifying God) are also explained to the participants.
The 55 secondary and high school students taking the course will memorize 25 or more Juzes of the Holy Quran.
The Quranic course will continue until September 4.
