Precious Quran Copies to Be Gifted to Muslim Leaders

A number of precious copies of the Holy Quran have been printed by the Iranian Melli Bank’s Printing and Publishing Company to be gifted to the leaders of Islamic countries.

 This is according to Davoud Mohammadi, an official with the company, who told IQNA that publication of the copies and valuable literary and religious works is one of the main activities of the publication.

It has so far published precious copies of the Holy Quran, Mathnavi Ma’navi by Mowlavi (Rumi), Kolliyyat of Sa’di, Diwan of Hafiz and Ferdowsi’s Shahnameh (Book of Kings).
He said the Quran copies ordered by the Supreme Leader’s Office, are scented and printed on Margono papers.
Mohammadi added that the copies have a unique hand-made binding and were illuminated by Master Abdullah Puresma’ili.
There are also other copies of the Divine Book published with a Persian translation of the verses by Grand Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi.
The colored copies are in Uthman Taha style.
He noted that most of the papers used for publication of the copies are imported from Indonesia, China, and Korea.
