The competition was organized by the country's Awqaf and Islamic Guidance Ministry in the category of memorization and Tarteel recitation of the Holy Quran, Sabanet news website reported.
Winners of the contest were awarded at the closing ceremony held in the capital city of Sana'a.
Abdullah Hassan Ali Hassan from Aden province came first and the runner ups were Yasmin Masad Ahmed al-Sahbani from Ta'izz and Ibrahim Davoud Ibrahim al-Nahari from Hudaydah.
In an address to the ceremony, Yemen's Awqaf Minister Hamoud Mahmoud Ibad urged the Islamic Ummah to strive to benefit from the teachings of the Holy Quran in everyday life.
