Scholars from 53 Countries to Attend Congress of Supporting Palestinian Resistance

An international congress of Muslim scholars is scheduled to be held in Tehran in support of the Palestinian resistance against the Zionist regime.

Ayatollah Mohsen Araki, secretary general of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, which organizes the event, said it will be held on September 9-10.
He said over 200 prominent Muslim scholars and political figures from 53 countries will attend the congress.
According to the senior cleric, Iranian Majlis (parliament) Speaker Ali Larjiani and Chairman of the Expediency Council Ayatollah Hashemi Rafsanjani will address the opening and closing ceremonies of the congress, respectively.
He referred to the Zionist regime's atrocities in the Gaza Strip in the past few months, noting that the brutal attacks against the besieged coastal enclave led to the martyrdom of hundreds of Palestinians.
Ayatollah Araki underlined that reiterating Muslim world's support for Palestine mad the resistance of Gaza is necessary today.
He hoped that the great international gathering would lead to the formation of a movement for supporting the Islamic resistance against the Zionists and Takfiri extremists.
