Saedi, Iran's Representative in Indonesia Int'l Quran Contest
Prominent Quran recite Mehdi Saedi has been selected to represent the country in Indonesia's International Holy Quran Competition.
Saedi, who is from the western province of Hamedan, has won the fifth title in the national Quran competition.
He was selected as Iran's representative in the international Quranic event by the Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization and the Supreme Quran Council.
Indonesia's International Holy Quran Competition is slated to be held in the capital Jakarta from September 22-29.
Quran reciters and memorizers from various countries of the world will compete in the Quranic event in the categories of memorization, recitation and Tajweed .
