The city's mayor and a number of officials including head of the Policy-making Council of Friday Prayers Leaders were present at the opening ceremony.
It cost Mashhad municipality 100 billion rials to build and equip the center in 4 years.
The center was built in an area of 9000 square meters and includes two Quran recitation halls, various classrooms, a library, and other facilities.
Mashhad, which is home to the holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS), hosts millions of pilgrims from Iran and other countries every year.
