National Forum to Discuss "Quran and Epistemology"

A national forum featuring the Holy Quran and epistemology is planned to be held in the Iranian capital of Tehran.

Slated for Monday, October 20, it will be organized by the Islamic Culture and Thought Research Center in cooperation with Allameh Tabatabaei University's philosophy and Quranic sciences departments.
It aims to investigates ways for adopting epistemological foundations from the Quran and use Quranic teachings to rectify and develop Islamic epistemology, IRNA reported.
A number of papers including one titled "Definition in the Holy Quran" by Masoud Esmaeili will be presented at the one-day event.
A number of prominent university and seminary scholars such as Ayatollah Ali Akbar Rashad, president of the Islamic Culture and Thought Research Center will also address the forum.
