Indonesia Int’l Quran Competition Wraps up

The second International Quran Competition of Indonesia came to an end on Sunday in the city of Palembang.

Winners of the contest were awarded at the closing ceremony.
Indonesia’s representatives won the first rank in the categories of recitation and memorization.
Iran’s Quran memorizer Mohammad Esfehanian came second in the memorization category while the contender from Egypt won the second rank.
Mehdi Saed, Iran’s representative in the recitation category, finished without winning a title.
83 Quran memorizers and reciters from 40 countries competed in the 8-day contest, which kicked off on September 22.
