Students Quran Competition to Be Held in Qatar

The 54th edition of the annual Quran memorization competition for students in Qatar will be held on March 8.

 According to Al-Arab newspaper, the Education Board of the Supreme Council of Education in Qatar is the organizer of the competition.

The council has invited all Qatari students as well as expatriate students residing in Qatar to participate in the contest which will be held on memorization of the Holy Quran.
Registration for the competition started on October 12 and will continue until March 1.
The country’s Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs will cooperate in holding the Quranic event.
Encouraging school students to participate in Quranic activities, getting the younger generation involved in Quranic programs and preserving the Arabic language as the language of Quran are among the objectives of the competition.
The Quranic event also aims to help to unite Muslims under the banner of the Quran and train a generation that follows the Sunnah of the holy prophet (PBUH) and manifests Quranic ethics.
