According to Al-Bayan newspaper, the forum was chaired by Sheikh Saghar bin Khalid bin Hameed Al-Ghasemi, head of the Official Council of Ras Al-Khaimah Quran Institute.
Ahmad Muhammad Al-Shahi, director general of the institute and head of the supreme committee organizing the Quran competition, Ahmad Ibrahim Sabi’an, secretary general of the contest and a number of the council’s members participated at the program.
Strengthening the connection of the country’s teenagers and youth with the Divine Word and raising a generation acquainted with Quranic teachings were highlighted at the forum as the main objectives of the Quranic competition.
The participants at the program also stressed that the competition aims to promote moderation and intellectual tolerance among various groups of the society.
