The Night of Ashura 2014 will be presented in the languages of English, Farsi, Arabic and Urdu.
For Shia Muslims, Ashura is a solemn day of mourning the martyrdom of Hussein, the grandson of Prophet Muhammad, in 680 AD at Karbala in modern-day Iraq.
Other Shia Islamic centers across the US and Europe alongside Shias in Muslim countries will hold the Morning ceremonies of Martyrdom of Imam Husseini (AS) and his companions this week.

I am a new revert to Islam. I love the brotherhood condition that exists in Islam. I see Shia Islam as the right eye of Islam and I see Sunni Islam as the left eye. Both eyes see the same thing but from different views. I pray for the coexistence of all humanity regardless of race or religion.
