
Abu El-Yazid Salameh, director general of Quran Affairs at Al-Azhar, said the virtual Quran recitation center is a digital center that combines authenticity and technology, “and through this, we try to provide the opportunity for knowledge seekers and the public to recite the Quran with the help of senior reciters and scholars.”
The center’s first day of activities was attended by officials and members of the Egyptian Quran Revision Committee, including Sheikh Hassan Abdel-Nabi Al-Iraqi, the committee's representative, Abdel-Karim Saleh, the committee's chairman, and Bashir Daabs, head of the recitation department at Al-Azhar's Quran Faculty and a member of the Quran Revision Committee, Cairo 24 website reported.

In this program, a number of Al-Azhar youth who have made Egypt famous in international circles and lead the prayers in Al-Azhar Grand Mosque, including Muhammad Ahmed Hassan, the twin reciters Hassan and Hussein Hossam and Sheikh Muhammad Ahmed Hassan, recited verses from the Quran.
