Hojat-ol-Islam Seyed Abdol Fattah Navab, the Leader’s representative in Hajj affairs and head of the Iranian Hajj delegation, made the remark at the farewell ceremony of the first group of Iranian pilgrims sent to Hajj 2026, held at the Imam Khomeini (RA) International Airport on Saturday morning.
“Despite the senseless war imposed on the country, we thank God for opening the door of God’s house to pilgrims who have been waiting for years,” he said, referring to Iran’s Hajj pilgrims.
Referring to the verses of the Quran regarding Hajj, the cleric said that Iranian pilgrims in the land of revelation will be the pioneers of the programs of Islamic Iran and the unity of the Islamic Ummah, and on this spiritual journey, they will certainly remember their loved ones who cannot attend Hajj.
Addressing the agents who are heading to the land of revelation to serve Iranian Hajj pilgrims, Hojat-ol-Islam Navab said: “You have taken on the responsibility of serving the pilgrims and should pursue this valuable work with sincerity.”
Pointing out that this year’s Hajj is different from the past due to the loss of the martyred Imam and a large number of commanders, officials, and people, he honored the memory of martyr Alireza Bayat, the former head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, and said the names of these people will become the standard-bearers of the Islamic Ummah in the world.
