
They 120-strong convoy had left the Imam Khomeini (AS) International Airport for Medina earlier in the morning.
Hojat-ol-Islam Seyed Abdol Fattah Navab, the Leader’s representative for Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs and, Alireza Rashidian, the head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, were among the officials who were present at the airport to see them off.
The first flight of Iranian Hajj pilgrims is scheduled to take place on Monday, April 27, 2026.
The total number Iranian pilgrims and their attendants in Hajj 2026 will be 30,672 people, who are scheduled to be sent to the Land of Revelation in more than 220 convoys.
Addressing the ceremony at the airport, Rashidian commemorated the martyrs of the recent war, including former head of the organization Alireza Bayat, and said, “We thank God that after detailed planning to provide services to the pilgrims, today we are witnessing the dispatch of the first group.”
He added that in the coming days, the remaining flights will be established and the convoys of pilgrims will set off on this spiritual journey, and preparations have been made to have a journey with dignity and security.

Rashidian further said that today, the Islamic Ummah needs unity more than ever, and Iranian pilgrims are messengers of unity, friendship, and peace in the Muslim Ummah.
By observing the laws and discipline of the host country, God willing, we will be able to have a Hajj with dignity and peace, and a good memory full of motivation for the pilgrims."
