Addressing an international conference in Russia’s Kabardino-Balkar Republic, Allahshukur Pashazade urged the world’s Muslims to unite against the terrorist group.
He underlined that ISIL terrorists have nothing in common with Islam and have been organized to distort the image of Islam.
“As a result of this group’s activities, thousands of Muslims have been killed, injured or displaced so far,” he noted, describing the Takfiri elements as nothing but criminals.
Pashazade stressed that the West’s intelligence services are behind the rise of the terrorist group.
The international conference on “Traditional Faiths, Invitation to Peace and Coexistence” was held in Nalchik, capital of Kabardino-Balkar Republic, with the participation of Muslim, Jewish and Orthodox Christian scholars.
Also addressing the event was the president of the republic, Yury Kokov, who regretted the spread of extremism and called for developing ties among Divine religions in order for confronting extremist and terrorist groups.
