Primary Winners of Sultan Qaboos Quran Competitions Announced

Primary winners of the Sultan Qaboos Competition for Memorisation of the Holy Quran were announced on Wednesday by Habib Bin Mohammed Al Riyami, Secretary General of Sultan Qaboos Higher Centre for Culture and Science.

Al Riyami unveiled names of the primary winners in the 24th edition of the competition which was run in six levels all over the Sultanate.

In the first level, memorising the Holy Quran as a whole with reciting, Dawood Bin Zahir Bin Said Al Anbri from Al Khoudh centre came first, Ghaith Bin Harib Bin Batti Al Ghafri from Ibri centre came second and Zahir Bin Mohammed Bin Zahir Al Abri from Ibri centre came third.

In the second level, memorising 24 consecutive parts of the Holy Quran with reciting, Abdullah Bin Khalifa Bin Adeem Al Subaihi from Sinaw centre came first, Mohammed Bin Ahmed Bin Mohammed Al Ghazali from Al Khuwair centre came second and Naheel Bin Rashid Bin Mohammed Al-Nu’aimi came third.

In the third level, memorising 18 consecutive parts of the Holy Quran with reciting, Laith Bin Ishaq Bin Yousuf Al Kindi from Nizwa centre came first, Ammar Bin Salim Bin Ali Al Hashmi from Sinaw centre came second and Mazin Bin Sulaiem Bin Rabee’a Al Nadheeri from Sur centre came third.

In the fourth level, memorising 12 consecutive parts of the Holy Quran with reciting Abdulaziz Bin Muneer Bin Sulaiman Al Masroori from Al Khoudh centre came first, Younis Bin Sulaiman Bin Abdullah Al Lamki from Al Rustaq centre came second and Ibrahim Bin Issa Bin Yousef Al Busaidi from Al Khuwair centre came third.

In the fifth level, the memorisation of six consecutive parts, Yousuf Bin Abdullah Bin Mohammed Al Habsi from Sinaw Centre came first, Abdullah Bin Khalid Bin Abdullah Al Kindi from Nizwa centre came second and Shamma Bint Salim Bin Mohammed Masan from Thumrait centre came third.

For the sixth level memorisation of two parts, A’sim Bin Nassir Bin Salim Al Jardani from Al Khuwair centre came first, Omama Bint Yassir Bin Mohammed Al A’amri from Sur centre came second and Salma Bint Mohammed Bin Ahmed Al Farsi from Al Khuwair centre came third.
