2 Seminars to Be Held During Int’l Quran Contest for Muslim Students

Two seminars are scheduled to be held during the 5th International Holy Quran Competition for Muslim Students.

Slated for January 2-3, 2015, one of the seminars features methodology of interdisciplinary Quranic studies and the other one will be held on unity in the Muslim world.
‘Definition of interdisciplinary Quranic studies and its distinction from comparative studies, scientific interpretation, and the like’, ‘typology of interdisciplinary Quranic studies’, ‘research methodology in interdisciplinary Quranic studies’, ‘Holy Quran and its logical relation with sciences’, and role of Holy Quran in the development of humanities are some of the topics to be discussed in the first seminar.
Meanwhile, participants in the second seminar will investigate issues like ‘concept, fundamentals and necessity of Islamic unity’, ‘Islamic unity; opportunities and challenges’, ‘effective approaches and factors for enhancing Islamic unity’, ‘Seerah of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and Infallible Imams (AS) in terms of promoting and enhancing Islamic unity’ and ‘role of elites and Muslim thinkers in promoting and enhancing Islamic unity’.
Those interested to take part in either of the seminars can submit their papers on the above-mentioned themes by November 21.
Some 170 papers have been submitted to the secretariat of the international event so far.
