Thousands of Quranic Classes Held by Iranian Prison Facilities

300 Thousand hours of conclusive Quranic classes were held by Iranian prison facilities during the last Iranian year(ending March 2o).
Hojat-ol-Islam Mohammad Mohsen Rabbani, head of Iranian prisons' Dar-ol-Quran Organization, said that more than 300 thousands religious classes covering Quran, Nahj-ol-Balaghe and Islamic teachings were planned and held in the last year for the prisoners. 120 thousands of prisoners in 220 prison facilities participated in these classes.

"In the last year, 15 thousands of the prisoners memorized parts of Quran. Among them 16, who had memorized whole of Quran, were granted freedom by the judiciary officials,"he asserted.
He also stated that our classes in the last year included subjects like Islamic teachings, Nahj-ol-Balaghe, reading, reciting, memorization and interpretation of Quran.
