Mosque-Oriented Society, Policy Urged

-- President's Advisor Professor Hamid Mowlana said that in Iran's Islamic society mosques ought to have a great role in all political, economic, social and cultural fields.
Speaking to IQNA on the sidelines of the Divine Thoughts Seminar, Mowlana added that mosques should be major communications centers in society.

Mowlana, a lecturer at the American University in Washington, added that during the era of victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, mosques played decisive role in communication.

Mosques and the Islamic Revolution have had reciprocal services, he said, adding that the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran is indebted to the spiritual and communicative role of mosques.
