Yemen Quran Schools to Teach Same Curricula
-- Yemen's Ministry of Endowments and Guidance is taking arrangements to know about the number of the Quran Memorization Schools in Yemen, both the public and private, and to present united curricula to be taught at the schools.
Deputy Minister for the Quran Memorization Schools Department Abdul Rahman al-Mazlem said the move aims to help the ministry efficiently monitor the schools to prevent producing extremists.
In the meantime, arrangements have got underway for the Quran Memorization competitions to be held in the holy month of Ramadan.
The ministry is contacting heads of its offices across the republic to submit their lists of referee and reception committees, al-Mazlem said.
Yemen will also participate in international Quran memorization competitions, he added.
