Mehrdad Abbasi, who is also the editor of “Approaches to the Quran” said that new books on Quranic topics and hadith have been published by the institute.
Speaking at a session held to review his works, he also referred to the factors that motivated him to work in this field. "During the past three decades, Islamic researches, particularly in Quranic fields, have widely developed in the West and become a major focus for western researchers.”
The Iranian researcher, who has studies in Quranic sciences and hadith, added, “Western scholars have made the best use of Quranic sources in recent years, the result of which was publication of Quranic magazines in London and the five-volume encyclopedia of the Quran in Leiden, the Netherlands.
“That is why I decided to cooperate with a group of translators and editors of Hekmat Publications and the first volume of the encyclopedia of Quran is the result of the efforts for several years”
