Religious Topics Discussed Through Shahnameh
Seyyed Mohammad Borhani’s latest work titled “Knowledge and Wisdom in Shahnameh” featuring religious and Islamic topics is planned to be published by the end of the Iranian year.
Talking to IQNA, Mr. Borhani said that the book which discusses various religious and ethical subjects in Ferdowsi’s poetry would be published by Mohammad Publications.
“The first chapter deals with the notion of praying and the heroes’ relations with God. It also investigates the monotheistic vision in view of Ferdowsi and Islam,” he went on to say.
“The second chapter discusses the power of "intellect" in Shahnameh, highlighting it as man’s unique characteristic that gives him superiority over other creatures, hence its significance in Ferdowsi’s poetry.”
Mr. Borhani further noted that the third chapter of the book features the relations between man, God and the world, citing examples from Shahnameh.
