Special Plans for Realizing Year’s Slogan
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said the government has special plans for materializing the slogan of the year, namely National Production, Support for Iranian Labor and Capital.
Speaking Tuesday in a meeting with a number of Majlis members, Dr Ahmadinejad added that based on the new year’s slogan, “we intend to intensify our endeavors in various fields including agriculture and industry in the current year.”
At the beginning of the new Iranian year of 1391 (March 20), Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Imam Khamenei named it Year of ‘National Production, Support for Iranian Labor and Capital’.
The president further referred to the sanctions imposed by the enemies of the Islamic Republic, saying despite the enemies’ all-out efforts to harm the country, Iran has made many achievements.
Highlighting the importance of the agriculture sector, he said with proper use of water and land, the great agricultural potentials of the country should be realized.
He also pointed to the establishment of the National Development Fund regarding it as a source of pride for his administration, adding that in the two years of 1389-90 (2010-11) $35 billion has been deposited in the fund.
The president stressed the need for national resolve for doing great jobs in the country, saying everyone should endeavor to set Iran an example for the world.
