Tajikistan’s Quran Copies Mostly Imported from Iran

Religious books particularly Quran copies of the Republic of Tajikistan are for the most part imported from Islamic Republic of Iran.
Talking to IQNA, Safiyeddin, representative of Ministry of Culture in Tajikistan said that religious issues in Tajikistan are increasingly promoted in line with cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
He noted that many good opportunities have been provided for learning the holy Quran and Quranic courses are highly welcomed by the people in Tajikistan.
The representative stated that Irfan Institute published about 10 thousand copies of the holy Quran last year and freely distributed them in the capital city and all mosques of the country.
He added that there are some bookstores in Dushanbe which officially present religious and Quranic literature to the public.
