“Ethics in Modern World” Int’l Forum in Indonesia

An international forum was held in cooperation with Iran Cultural Center in Indonesia, Institute for Studies of Religions, Islamic University and the Faculty of Higher Education of Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) in Indonesia.
According to the Islamic Culture and Relations Organizations (ICRO), “ethics and denomination”, “investigation of ethical systems in Islam”, “philosophical and mystical principles of Islamic ethics”, “ethics in oriental philosophy”, “modernity and ethics” and “the Holy Quran and the answers to moral questions of contemporary man” were among the themes discussed at the program.
Addressing the forum, Gholamreza A’wani, lecturer of philosophy at Shahid Beheshti University, investigated the necessity of interfaith dialogue and proximity of various faiths in today’s world and clarified interactions of divine religions in view of the Holy Quran based on the Quran’s verses.
Noting that all followers of divine religions and monotheists are called Muslims in the Quran, he gave an explanation on disparities between various levels of faith and Islam.
