“Support for Al-Quds” Int’l Conference Planned
Muslim Scholars Assembly in Lebanon plans to hold an international conference titled “Support for Al-Quds” on April 10 in Damascus, Syria.
According to Noor Radio website, it will be organized in cooperation with Syria’s Awqaf Ministry with the purpose of backing Quds (Jerusalem) as well as attaching importance to the issues of Quds, Al-aqsa mosque and Palestine.
Sheikh Maher, a member of the assembly, said in a statement that, “Palestine and Quds are the two universal themes important for Muslims all across the globe”.
Pointing to the significance of regional uprisings particularly Islamic Awakening Tide, he noted that some spare no effort in order to consign the issues of Palestine and Muslims' vigilance to oblivion.
He went on to say that Syria has been selected as the venue for the conference for it is one the countries which has always showed its full commitment to Palestine and Palestinian during the history.
