Over 1600 Memorizers Receive Specialized Quran Memorization Certificates

From among 16222 contestants participating in the 6 rounds of Memorizers’ Evaluation Plan, 1688 memorizers of the Holy Book managed to receive specialized Quran memorization certificates .
Speaking at a live TV program on April 6, Mahdi Gharah Sheikhlu, head of Dar-ol-Quran Center elaborated on the center’s activities in the past Iranian year, adding that “Granting specialized certificates of memorization to the participants in the 6th round of Memorizers’ Evaluation Plan was the most important Quranic program last year.”
“Also, Mohammad Mahdi Bahrul-Olum from Tehran and Soltani from Kerman could receive first-grade certificates after passing 4 stages of written and oral examinations,” he went on to say.
“During the 6 rounds of the exam, only 1688 participants could finally get their certificates and this clearly shows the high quality of the exam and that memorizers are required to be perfectly ready for the corresponding examinations.”
Gharah Sheikhlu further asserted that registration for the 7th round of the plan would begin on May 4 and last for a month. “Those Interested can register at www.telavat.com. The first stage of the exam will be held in late June.”
“The organization of 18000 general Quranic courses, 900 specialized courses and 1500 educational courses at intermediate level as well as the publication of 30 research books were also among other programs administered by the center during the previous year.”
Referring to the Association of Quranic Benefactors that was inaugurated last year, he added: “A special website is to be launched within the next two weeks to offer wider information in this regard. Those willing to make any donations can join the group on the website.”
He further referred to 1000 Quranic festivals held last year as well as recitation sessions set up in 150 mosques across the country, adding: “The plan will still be underway in the current year.”
“A special Quranic festival was also held for under-18 age group to recognize those with Quranic talents and 400 individuals were selected from among 3000 participants,” Gharah Sheikhlu went on to say, noting that “More than 17000 copies of the Holy Quran were edited and 411 publishers received permission for publishing over 6 million copies of the Book during the previous year as well.”
