The Hadiths and narrations by the holy Infallibles (AS) like Imam Hussein’s (AS) ‘Hayhat Mina Zilla’ (we reject humiliation) draw up the basis of Hezbollah Movement’s resistance policy.
This is according to an article by international law expert Arash Abedi tilted “Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah’s Status and Aspects of His Character in Resistance and Religious Teachings.
Speaking to IQNA, he said Nasrallah, who had been threatened to death by the Zionist regime last year, took a stance that brings to mind Imam Hussein’s (AS) statement ‘Hayhat Mina Zilla’. “He said to Israelis: Are you threatening me with death? We are used to it and martyrdom is a blessing for us from God.”
Abedi in his article writes that the life and behavior of Nasrallah is based on Quranic teachings and verses like ‘And make ready against them all you can of power, including steeds of war (to threaten the enemy of Allah and your enemy,…’ (8:60) and ‘Go to Fir'aun (Pharaoh)! Verily, he has transgressed (all bounds in disbelief and disobedience, and has behaved as an arrogant, and as a tyrant)’ (20:24)
He says Nasrallah has been a student of Imam Khomeini’s (RA) school of thought, a leader who influenced Muslims’ though in ideological, cultural, religious and political terms. “After the demise of Imam Khomeini (RA), grand Ayatollah Khamenei became a role model for Nasrallah. Given his merits, Nasrallah was appointed by the Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution as his representative in Lebanon.”
Abedi reiterates that many observers believe the secret behind Nasrallah’s success is learning lessons from the Islamic Revolution and obeying Velayat-e Faqih.
“Nasrallah was devoted to Imam Khomeini (RA) for two reasons: first, Imam Khomeini (RA) was a prominent source of emulation and Vali Amr (leader) of the world Muslims, and second, Nasrallah regarded Imam Khomeini (RA) as his role model.”
The author points to different stages of Nasrallah’s life and says while he was studying Islamic sciences in the Qom seminary in 1989, Israel’s aggressions against Lebanon intensified and disagreements started to grow between the Amal Movement and Hezbollah. “He then returned to Lebanon and joined his Hezbollah brothers to fight against the occupying regime of Israel. In 1992, after the assassination of Sayyed Abbas Mousawi, Hezbollah’s secretary general at the time, the group’s leadership council unanimously selected Nasrallah as Mousawi’s successor. ”
The article also highlights Nasrallah’s sincerity and honesty, saying that even the Zionists have acknowledged this.
It further points to the martyrdom of Nasrallah’s son in a clash with Israeli forces in 1997 and highlights Nasrallah’s readiness to sacrifice his family for Islam and resistance.
