The 29th Annual Meeting of French Muslims organized by the Union of French Islamic Organizations was opened on April 6 in Le Bourget in Paris.
According to Al-Riyadh newspaper, the meeting has been held at a critical time when anti-Islamic groups in France spare no effort to increase the wave of Islamophobia in the country and the right-wing parties try to win Muslims' votes.
"Followers of Islam and their Problems in the Contemporary Era" is the title selected by the union in cooperation with Muslims Society for this edition of the event.
Having invited intellectuals and experts on social issues from various European countries, the union aims to investigate problems of Muslim minorities in such countries and provide solutions for them.
Solidarity and unity of Muslims in France, economy of the West and its influence on Muslim minority, freedom of thought and its role in weakening or strengthening religions and Halal products and Muslims’ problems in the West form the major themes of the function.
