50,000 Register for Nat’l Quranic Test

Some 50,000 individuals have signed up for the 8th National Examination on Quran Memorization, and Quran Translation and Concepts.
This is according to Morteza Khedmatkar who heads the education department of the Center for Coordination, Development and Promotion of Quranic Activities (CCDPQA). He told IQNA that the examination will be held on Friday, April 20 in different cities across the country.
He added that 40,000 of the examinees will take part in the translation and concepts category while the rest will take the memorization examination.
The highest number of participation in the examination belongs to Khroasan Razavi province (5500 registration) followed by Isfahan province (4700), Khedmatkar said.
He further referred to the programs of the CCDPQA, saying the center began holding training courses for Quran teachers last year and so far 70 percent of the courses’ objectives have been realized.
