Int'l Quran Seminar to Be Held in Malaysia
International Seminar of al-Quran in Contemporary Society is going to be held on December 1st and 2nd at Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA), Terengganu, Malaysia.
Faculty of Islamic Contemporary Studies, Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin with cooperation of World of Islamic Sciences and Education University (WISE) and Jordan and The State Government of Terengganu are going to hold the seminar.
The Seminar aims to discuss the contemporary issues from the perspective of the al-Quran as a proof of its paramount functions and its relevance as an authoritative and authentic reference for all aspects of human life, in line with the niche of the Faculty of Islamic Contemporary Studies, highlight the uniqueness of al-Quran as a pillar of transformation in contemporary society and reminisce the glory of al-Quran studies at all levels including those in Terengganu.
Scholars and researchers are invited to contribute their findings in the International Seminar of al-Quran in Contemporary Society for the following sub-themes: Al-Quran; Beliefs and Thoughts, Al-Quran; Fiqh and Law, Al-Quran; Science and Technology, Al-Quran and Welfare, Al-Quran and Economics, Al-Quran, Civilization and Cultures, Al-Quran and Medical, Al-Quran and Education, The Interpretation and Translation of Al-Quran and The Enhancement of Al-Quran in Terengganu.
Seminar of al-Quran (SQ) is a biannual event organized by the Faculty of Islamic Contemporary Studies (FKI). The International Seminar of al-Quran in Contemporary Society (SQ2012) is the third in the series organized by FKI. The SQ 2012 is a continuity of the International Seminar of Qiraat and Qurra’ (SQ2010) and the Seminar of al-Quran and the Formation of Excellent Ummah (SQ2008) with the themes “The Knowledge of Qirrat and Qurra’ Generating Islamic Wisdom” and “al-Quran Creates Excellent Ummah” respectively.
