Film Industry Urged to Depict Country’s Progress
The film industry should fulfill its responsibility towards the slogan of the year by producing movies whose theme is depicting the country’s developments in economic fields, a film producer told IQNA.
Referring to the Supreme Leader’s naming of the current Iranian year (started March 20) as the ‘Year of National Production and Supporting Iranian Labor and Capital’, Mohammad Reza Shafiei also called on the country’s officials to support the film industry and provide the required conditions for it to work on the theme.
He added that filmmakers can also promote using Iranian-made products by indirectly advertising them in their movies.
Shafiei said the Supreme Leader’s naming of each year is meant to draw attention to important issues that have been somehow neglected.
He added that paying attention to the slogan of the year should not be limited to that year, but the Supreme Leader’s instructions concerning the year’s slogan should always be kept in mind.
