According to Dar-ol-Hayat newspaper, the forum has been held under the supervision of Khalid Al-‘Anqari, Minister of Higher Education in Saudi Arabia.
It has been organized by the Department of Literature and Islamic Studies of the university.
So far a number of scholars, researchers and intellectuals of the Islamic world have attended the program and underlined the necessity for promotion of brotherhood and peaceful coexistence among Muslims and avoidance of blind prejudice in human societies.
The event aims to develop peace and security in human societies and disseminate values such as love and sympathy.
Islam and human peace, Islam and peace of mind, Islam and social peace, and Islam and economic peace are the main themes of the forum.
Islam's approaches on institutionalizing global peace, moral values in Islam, call for contemplation on ways for realizing peace, Islam and peaceful coexistence with non-Muslims, Islam and freedom of thought, role of Islam in realization of lasting peace and economic security, Islamic development and economic challenges threatening peace, political justice in Islam, Islam’s approach towards terrorism, environment in Islam, regional and international peace, and Islam's guidelines for preservation of environment form the sub-themes of the program.
