9th Int’l “Bismillah” Festival to Be Held

The 9th edition of Bismillah (in the name of God) international festival is slated to be held in the holy month of Ramadan.
This is according to Mohammad Reza Kamarei, Secretary of the international event, who also told IQNA that Milad Tower in Tehran will host the Quranic event concurrent with the holy month of Ramadan (the ninth month of the Islamic calendar) for 30 days.
Kamarei said that the program is also due to be held simultaneously in Dhaka, Kuala Lumpur and Dubai.
The international festival will focus on photographs of Islamic sites and buildings, paintings on creation and graphics and calligraphies on the theme of Bismillah.
In addition to artworks displaying various names of Allah, the festival will also feature other sections which display artworks by the contemporary Iranian graphic designer and calligraphers such as Kurosh Shishegaran, Mohammad Ehsayi, Qobad Shiva, Ebrahim Haqiqi, Jalil Rasuli, Yadollah Kaboli, Gholamhussein Amirkhani, etc.
The secretary added that a market will be set up at the tower selling Middle East Quranic artworks on the sidelines of the festival. The selling data-x-items will include visual artworks by 80 contemporary and 110 young Iranian artists.
Mohammad Reza Kamarei noted that a number of domestic and foreign officials, artists, and businessmen will be present at the seminar.
