Islamic Hijab and its importance in Islam was clarified at a program on April 19 in India.
According to IQNA’s branch in South Asia, the program was organized by Masroor Educational Institute.
Addressing the program, Seema Khan, lecturer of Islamic University of Indian Women stressed that: “Hijab is women’s dignity and honor and as the holy Quran says it is not merely a covering for body but the one who wears Hijab should observe its rules in all of her acts and behaviors.”
Mansour Hasan Khan, another speaker at the program said that the idea that Islamic Hijab has changed over time is wrong and it is an idea which has been imposed through cultural onslaught.
Also speaking at the program, Naseem Razvi stressed that Hijab does not limit women noting that it is a Divine order which brings dignity and immunity to women.
