Talking to IQNA, Mohammad Shari’ati, head of the group said that necessary arrangements have been made by the representative office of the Supreme Leader in Karbala and the group is due to perform Tawashih (religious songs) and various religious programs at the holy shrine of Imam Hussein (AS) and Hazrat Abbas (AS) for 9 days.
Shari’ati said that the group has been formed with the aim of disseminating Islamic culture and teachings at national and international levels, particularly among the youth using innovative methods which can be more influential in standing against cultural onslaught.
“The group which was formed in 1376 (1997) consists of Quran reciters and teachers from Esfahan most of them holding Academic degrees,” he added.
Mohammad Shari’ati also said that the Tawashih group has performed over 60 religious programs so far.
It has succeeded to win the first rank at national Tawashih contest by Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization, the third rank at national festival of IRIB, the first rank at the congregational recitation of the Quran and Tawashih contest by Awqaf, etc.
The group has also performed programs on various occasions with the presence of the Supreme Leader and high-ranking officials of the country.
Opening ceremony of international Quran recitation contest in Tehran, opening ceremony of National Summit on Prayer and the ceremony on launching Quran TV were among the occasions that the group performed its programs at national level.
Besharat international Tawashih group has also been invited by the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO) to perform programs in various countries.
