Announcing this in an interview with IQNA, Seyyedeh Zahra Mousavi director of the Noor Hedayat Quranic Institute in Birjand added that 12 computer systems are used by Quran learners to perfect their Quran recitation skills.
She said both men and women Quran learners can use the facility on different days, adding that those from other cities can also benefit from the lab.
According to Ms Mousavi, who has been praised for her Quranic research studies, the laboratory was launched to help Quran reciters sharpen their skills.
She said Quran translation and interpretation software has been installed on the systems to help Quran researchers in their studies.
The Quran recitation laboratory Noor Hedayat Quranic Institute was officially launched in October 2011, in a ceremony attended by Hojat-ol-Islam Hamid Mohammadi head of the Center for Coordination, Development and Promotion of Quranic Activities.
