Quran Recitation Contest in Tatarstan
The 14th edition of Quran recitation contest for Tatar children and teenagers was held on April 19.
According to IQNA’s branch in Europe, Zelenodolsk Islamic School hosted the contest which was attended by over 50 children and teenagers from various regions of the country such as Bolshoi, Malinki and Molino.
It was held in line with commemorating “the year 2012; the year of the Holy Quran in Tatarstan”.
The competitions were supervised by teachers of the Center for Training Quran Memorizers and Reciters affiliated to Islamic University of Russia in Kazan, and eminent scholars and clerics of Tatarstan.
Top winners of the contest were awarded at the end of the program.
