Quran Memorizers to Be Honored in Al-Azhar

Some 100 child Quran memorizers will be honored in a ceremony to be organized by Al-Urman Charity Association on April 30 at Al-Azhar Islamic Center.
According to Al-Yawm Al-Sabi daily, the Quran memorizers are orphan children learning the Quran at educational centers affiliated to Al-Azhar Islamic Center.
The program is held with the aim of encouraging Egyptian children to memorize the Holy Quran and to raise a Quranic generation.
The children will be honored and awarded by Ahmad Al-Tayyeb, the Sheikh of Al-Azhar, on the occasion of the national 'Orphans Day'.
The program will be held with the participation of a number of Al-Azhar scholars as well the officials of the association.
