English Program of ICE for the Month of Ramadan

The month of Ramadhan special program for the English speaking community will start at the Islamic Center of England (ICE) on Saturday 4th of August 2012, covering the last 15 nights of the month of Ramadhan.
According to Islamic traditions, the last 15 nights of this holy month are exceptionally valuable and contain a number of events of outmost importance such as the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Ali (as) and the Laylat ul Qadr (the Nights of Decree).
The title of this year special program is “Journey to the Beloved” reflecting the theme chosen by the organizers focusing around individual spiritual development through the teaching of the Prophet Muhammad (s) and his Ahlul Bayt (as).
The 15 nights will be shared by two well known lecturers, Hujjatul Islam Dr. Shomali, who will look at the concept of du`a (supplication) in Islam and Hujjatul Islam Bahmanpour, who will extrapolate important lessons from the famous du`a Abu Hamza, a supplication taught by Imam Ali Zayn al-Abidin (as) to his companion Abu Hamza al-Thumali. The evening lecture will start at 7:30pm till the time of maghrib (evening prayer).
