The ceremony sponsored by the country’s Ministry of Endowment, also honored the top participants who competed with each other in three categories of memorization, Tajweed and interpretation of Holy Quran
The closing ceremony was organized by the Supreme Council of Bahrain’s Islamic Affairs and was supervised by the country’s King and that it was held in Ahmad al-Fateh Grand Mosque, Alwasat daily reported.
President of International instance for Holy Quran Memorization, Abdullah Ibn Ali Basfar, delivered a speech at the event in which the top participants were honored and awarded.
The 17th round of the competition is also underway in different categories including memorizing the entire Quran, 20 Juz (parts), 10 Juz, 5 Juz, 3 Juz of the Holy Quran, recitation, melodious voice and a category special for students.
The Ministry of Justice and Islamic Affairs of Bahrain has invited all Bahraini citizens to attend the function pursuing the aim of encouraging the Qaris and memorizers.
