22 Provinces to Host Ayat Int’l Quran Contest

Iranian Minister of Culture has said that some 22 provinces of the country will play host to the third edition of Ayat (signs) International Quran Competition slated to be held in the next Iranian calendar year.
Addressing the press conference of Ayat Quran contest, Seyyed Mohammad Hosseini also said that organization of such contests will promote unity and solidarity among Muslims around the world.
He added that the contest will be held under the theme of “Art, Mankind and Holy Quran” with the aim of getting the country’s artists further acquainted with Quranic teachings so that they would create more works pivoting around Quranic themes.
He said that the closing ceremony will be held concurrent with ten-day Dawn (Fadjr) ceremonies and that top winners will be honored during a ceremony to be held at Tehran Vahdat Hall.
