The Tarjoman-e Vahy (translation of Revelation) Center has published and collected 5000 Quran renderings into 145 Languages.
The center, which was established after the victory of the Islamic Revolution, has avoided duplications in Quranic activities and presented valuable Quranic works to Muslims all over the world.
It was founded in 1994 by the Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization, in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, with the aim of presenting accurate, fluent, eloquent, and undistorted translations of the Holy Book.
It began its activities by conducting a comprehensive research about translations of the Quran and contacted cultural institutes, scientific centers and individuals that had worked in the field in different parts of the world.
The center then embarked on translating the Holy Quran into different languages, with the cooperation of scholars who have mastery over the source and target languages and are familiar with Quranic sciences.
It has also collected Quran translations rendered by others. Currently there are some 5600 renderings of the Quran into 145 languages such as English, French, German, Spanish, and Turkish in the center’s archives.
Collecting and archiving articles and research studies about Quran translation and interpretation, and publishing articles on the language of the Quran, history, interpretation and interpreters, and translation of the Quran are among the other activities of the Tarjoman-e Vahy Center.
