Friday prayer leader of Najaf attributed the clashes between Shia and Sunni Muslims to foreign parties who try to spread discord in the Muslim Ummah.
Addressing worshipers at Najaf’s Fatemiya religious center on Friday, Hojat-ol-Islam Sayyed Sadreddin Ghapanchi added that the world is witnessing a development toward Islam whose main center is the Middle East.
He noted that the West seeks to take control of the development and turn its course so that it would serve the West’s interests.
Hojat-ol-Islam Ghapanchi further pointed to the situation in Iraq and said the Iraqi nation and officials are duty-bound to stand up against the crises.
