This is according to head of the center Hojat-ol-Islam Seyyed Mehdi Alizadeh-Mousavi who told IQNA that efforts are underway to find out how a constructive Islamic lifestyle can be presented based on Hajj values and teachings.
He pointed to the studies so far carried out by the Hajj and Pilgrimage Research Center, saying that since 1991, it has published some 1000 books.
He said 130 books have recently been published and 88 more are under publication to be presented in this year’s Hajj and Umrah.
Hojat-ol-Islam Alizadeh-Mousavi added that the Akhlaq and Asrar (ethics and secrets) department, one of the five departments at the center, is working on the culture of pilgrimage in order to present the characteristics of exemplary pilgrims.
He noted that the center has programs during the Hajj and Umrah to spread the teachings of Hajj among the pilgrims.
Asked what are the main concerns of the pilgrims during their trip to the holy sites of Makkah and Medina, the cleric said they are first of all concerned about carrying out the required rituals accurately and secondly about the proagenda of the Wahabbis.
“Given the large number of educational software products made available by the center, we hope these concerns will be addressed,” he went on to say.
